This article is saying that a play is not a basic piece of literature that is complicated and is built upon by language alone, but it is a work of art that carries more meaning and thought. You are able to physically experience the emotion of a play and you are able to understand its dynamic even if you don't understand the language. It also said that plays are designed for the audience to try to understand the overall language of the play not necessarily the setting or the characters, but more of the concept; but the director can also make it relatable for the audience to understand. For example, with romeo and juliet there can be many modern adaptations to the play that have more modern music, clothing, and setting but the overall idea of the play is what the focus should be. Plays don't have to follow any type of protocol or rules. You can compare plays to the planets and earth. The same way the planet has a climate, mood, tone, time etc. so does plays. They get changes and ...

I do agree with the statement that friar lawrence is a peacemaker. i think friar lawrence is a peace maker. friar lawrence is a priest and he is very wise. he understands the fued between bpth families, ahe also understands that the marrage of romeo and juliet would help the fued. he wants them both to be happy and you can tell that he doesnt agree with the fued, he only wants romeo and juliet to be happy. when romeo asked for him to marry him and juliet lines 57-81 friar lawrence was explaining that romeo was just in love with rosleine and he thinks he is moving really quickly to fall for another person, and he odesnt believe that he truely loves juliet. but he did tell romeo that he thought that juliet and his love can be strong enough to end the fued. "In one respect I’ll thy assistant be, for this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households' rancor to pure love." this means that friar lawrences intentions was to make peace not knowing that their deaths would ...

I’m the story Romeo and Juliet I think Tybalt was the reason for Mercutio’s death. I think this is true because he could have found a way around the conflict even though Romeo is a Montague and his sworn enemy. I feel that the fight and argument was directly focused on Tybalt and Romeo. Tybalt was upset with Romeo because of him being with Juliet. When Tybalt started calling Romeo a villain I think that triggered Mercutio because that is his good friend and their enemy was speaking on him as if he was a bad person, when Mercutio knows that Romeo is not a bad person. Tybalt said to Romeo “boy, this shall not excuse the injuries that thou hast done me. Therefore turn and draw.” This shows that Tybalt doesn’t want an apology he wants more than that. This shows that Tybalt was there to kill or get what he wanted which was Romeo to leave Juliet alone. Mercutio in this scene was only trying to protect Romeo from getting killed and from Tybalt doing any further damage to him. Romeo was just t...
