FIRST HALF OF ACT 5 NOTES

-romeo in veona asks if any letter was sent for him . he gets news that juliet is dead . and that he will soon come back to see her. romeo says that he will lie with juliet that night, and he also says that he will find an apothecary, that will sell him drugs to take so that he will be able to face his death . the seller sells the drugs to romeo for a short cost and romeo has it. he said that he will go to juliets tomb and kill himself. the friar asks friar jon if he gave romeo the note about juliets fake death and he says no he didnt get the chance to bring it to them and then the friar realizes that romeo probably thinks that juliet is really dead . friar lawrence says that he will take juliet out of her tomb himself and he will send another note to romeo telling him what he will be doing. paris spies romeo ad thinks he si trying to do some harm to juliet or tybalts bodies. so he draws his sword and romeo kills paris. after bringing paris's body next to tybalt and juliet he goes to juliet kisses her and drinks the posion and kisses her and then dies. after romeo dies friar lawrence appears but he is too late romeo hasalready hilled homself, then juliet wakes up.

This is just to say

The words that stick out to me with the sound are words like plums, icebox, delicious, sweet, and cold. I think mainly because they are feeling words and the writer probably wanted he reader to feel the words. Also in the beginning the first stanza of the poem when the writer says the plums that were in the icebox had stuck out to me because of the T sounds that I got from the poem. Also the last stanza when the writer says so sweet and so cold. The so was repeated twice to emphasize the amount of sweetness and coldness. Also the s sounds. The meaning of the poem is that whomever has eaten the plums did because of temptation and the writer is trying to have he reader feel that temptation. They didn’t really want to eat them I’m assuming but get were really hungry and they want whomever those plums were to understand the reasoning behind it. Play review: The romeo and juliet play at the park was very interesting. We were all laid out comfortably on blankets on the grass. The play started at 8:00. It was the original shakespeare play but with a twist. It started off with the scene in the village, and then went into a scene with juliet and her mother . In between the scenes they played more modern day music which i thought was entertaining because it gave the play more of a modern feel. During the play there was singing a little through out but it was mostly a straight play. The costumes that the characters in the play wore were accurate to the time period of romeo and juliet. There was a scene in the play where they foreshadowed the death of juliet when she wore a white robe that both tybalt and mercutio wore when they died. Because the play was a romance tragedy, there were two or three scenes where romeo and juliet kissed.
