Jean Valjean was released from prison after 19 years and met myreal Who was a bishop that covered for him when he stole from him. He agreed to have his loyalty if he became an honest man. Valjean changes his name when he moves to Montreuil and changes his name to Madeleine. He does this so that he could have better opportunities in so he can start fresh after he was released from prison. That was Jean becomes a very good businessman and is really good in the city and he becomes the mayor of the city. A girl named Fantine who was from Montreuil lives in Paris and falls in Love with a rich law student who has a lot of money and they both on love at first sight his name was tholomyés and he decides to leave her after he finds out that he got her pregnant and he doesn’t want child or his reputation to be ruined. The Thénardiers are the owners of in in in Paris and they do her a favor by looking after her daughter so that she can go find work and nobody will take her if they know that she has a child. They watch Cosette until she finds the job. She finds a job at a factory where she works there for a couple of days until they find out the workers find out she has a child. And the owner of the factory fires her because she lied and said she did not have a kid. The Thénardiers demand more money to support her kid because she’s not giving them enough. So she decides to resort to prostitution so that she can make enough money for them to take care of her kid and to make ends meet. One night the police she finds her prostituting and arrest her. But Madeleine comes in between it and try’s to help. Fantine get fatally ill and the only thing that she wants in her hospital bed is to see her daughter and the police chief is not letting her so Madeleine comes in between it to try to stop it from happening and tries to make it so that she can see her daughter. The police chief comes to arrest Madeleine because he finds out his true identity. When he finds this out he goes to the hospital where he is beside Fantine in her bed and confront him. Madeleine confessed his identity of being Jean Valjean, and Fantine dies from the shock of it all. A few years later Jean escapes from prison so that he can buy back Cosette from the Thénardiers. They turn out to be really bad people who abused Cosette. And they spoiled their two daughters in front of her face. Jean and Cosette move in together in a run down part of Paris and they are hiding out. He takes care of her as much as he can but they don’t have a lot of fines or or food and where they live is very very run down.  The police chief finds out where they’ve been hiding out and they are forced to flee the country. They find shelter in a convent where they live and Cosette is able to go to school and have shelter and food. Jean works as a gardener in the convent. Marius who is apart of the abc sees Cosette at a park and they fall in love at first sight. But Valjean is very over perfect I’ve so he does his best to not allow them to see each other ever again. They meat again and Jean goes to marius’s neighborhood and finds out that marius’s neighbors are The Thénardiers. They have moved to Paris because they lost their inn and they changed their name to jondrettes. They are now very poor and have no money. The Thénardiers decided that they want to set up a robbery where they are going to steal from Valjean. Marius decided to tell the local police and get them arrested. They were arrested and Valjean escaped before Javert could identify him. Valjean decides to take Cosette to England because he is afraid to lose her to Marius. Marius was heartbroken after they left. The abc force that Marius is apart of are tired of being treated the way they are and they vow to stand their ground and fight for their freedom and justice. The army attacked them and Eponine (who is in love with Marius) throws herself in front of the bullet to save marius’s life. As she does she hands him a letter from Cosette, Marius read the letter and wrote a letter back then quickly gave it to someone to deliver it to Cosette.  Valjean comes across the letter and is able to read it and goes to help Marius while he is fighting. He volunteered to kill Javert so that he would think he was on his side and then he lets him go. After that him and Marius leave through the sewers. Javert finds Valjean and is torn between letting him go and arresting him so he lets him and Marius go and kills himself. Marius wakes up and is fully healed and his grandfather says that he can marry Cosette. But first Valjean tells him about his criminal past. When he tells him Marius abandons Valjean. Marius finds out that Valjean was the one that saved his life and he quickly reunites with him and Valjean dies in peace.

This is just to say

The words that stick out to me with the sound are words like plums, icebox, delicious, sweet, and cold. I think mainly because they are feeling words and the writer probably wanted he reader to feel the words. Also in the beginning the first stanza of the poem when the writer says the plums that were in the icebox had stuck out to me because of the T sounds that I got from the poem. Also the last stanza when the writer says so sweet and so cold. The so was repeated twice to emphasize the amount of sweetness and coldness. Also the s sounds. The meaning of the poem is that whomever has eaten the plums did because of temptation and the writer is trying to have he reader feel that temptation. They didn’t really want to eat them I’m assuming but get were really hungry and they want whomever those plums were to understand the reasoning behind it. Play review: The romeo and juliet play at the park was very interesting. We were all laid out comfortably on blankets on the grass. The play started at 8:00. It was the original shakespeare play but with a twist. It started off with the scene in the village, and then went into a scene with juliet and her mother . In between the scenes they played more modern day music which i thought was entertaining because it gave the play more of a modern feel. During the play there was singing a little through out but it was mostly a straight play. The costumes that the characters in the play wore were accurate to the time period of romeo and juliet. There was a scene in the play where they foreshadowed the death of juliet when she wore a white robe that both tybalt and mercutio wore when they died. Because the play was a romance tragedy, there were two or three scenes where romeo and juliet kissed.
